  3. Q: I want to know what are the faraaidh of Salaah? A: There are six faraaidh in Salaah. They are as follows: 1. The takbeer-e-Tahreema 2. To make Qiyaam (i.e. to stand and perform the Salaah when one is able). 3. To recite the Qiraat in each rakaat (i.e. to recite three small verses of the Qur'an or one long verse). 4. To perform the ruku' in each rakaat of the Salaah. 5. To perform the two Sajdahs in each rakaat of the Salaah. 6. To sit in the last Qa'dah for the duration of tashahhud.   4. Q: A person is performing Salaah reading his dhor and he forgets where he is. He thinks for a few seconds and goes back and continues. Does this pause make sajdah sahw necessary? Would this change depending on the Salaah he was performing e.g. if it were sunnats or taraweeh or fardh etc? A: 1.   6. Making qadha of the sunnats of fajr Q: If I miss fajr and perform it when I wake up before zuhr, do I perform the two sunnats first or fardh? A: If one performs the qadha of fajr of the same day before zawaal, then one should make qadha of the sunnats together with the fardh. However if one performs the qadha of fajr after zawaal or the fajr qadha of another day, then one will not perform the sunnats, instead one will only perform the fajr qadha.   8. Q: Is it compulsory for a female to cover her hands up to the wrists during Salaah i.e. the area of the hands from the fingers till the wrists?   11. Performing Salaah in multi faith prayer roomsQ: Is it permissable to pray in multi faith prayer rooms, such as the ones they usually have at airports? These rooms are mostly used by Muslims but also some non-Muslims use them for praying and apart from Islamic material they also contain bibles and books of other religions. The question came to my mind since, if I remember it correctly, we are not allowed to enter into buildings of worship of other religions? : Do not perform Salaah in that room, instead perform Salaah in one corner of the airport in a place where you will not inconvenie

If so which part of the foot should be touching each other as a lot of people are not aware of this? 2.   13. Salaah missed during safar Q: If I made my zuhr and asr salaah qadha while on safar (journey), when I return home, should I make qadha of four rakaats or two rakaats? A: If you missed salaah during safar and you are making qadha later on, you will perform the salaah in the manner it became qadha upon you (i.e you will perform two rakaats qadha for zuhr and asr in place of four rakaats). A: If water reaches the area beneath the rings and bangles without removing it, it will not be necessary to remove the rings and bangles. However if water does not reach the area beneath the rings and bangles, then one should remove the rings and bangles and wash the area beneath it.   20. Marrying a woman in the state of iddat Q: A woman got married to another man right after her divorce without completing her iddat. What is the status of her marriage to the other man. Is the nikaah valid? A: Marrying a woman who is in the state of iddat is haraam in Islam. If the one who married her knew that she had not yet completed her iddat, then he should immediately separate her (whether he had relations with her or not) and allow her to complete her iddat.
