  2. BY Mohammad Rafique Etesame The holy Qur,an reveals,” Say: Shall We inform you who will be the greatest losers by their works? ﴾10 Those whose effort goeth astray in the life of the world, and yet they reckon that they do good work. Those are they who disbelieve in the revelations of their Lord and in the meeting with Him. Therefor their works are vain, and on the Day of Resurrection We assign no weight to themThat is their reward: hell, because they disbelieved, and made a jest of Our revelations and Our messengers.” ﴾ Al kahaf:106﴿ These verses indicate about those who are the greatest losers both in this world and in the hereafter. So, they are those who don’t believe in the existence stance of God and of meeting with Him and denied His signs found in the universe i.e. in the horizon and in man’s own soul. Therefore, all there good deeds went in the air and they will not get any good reward for them. Infect, these are the infidels and the polytheists. Because they believe that Everything is in this world and nothing else is after it. So, they tried their best to make everything better and comfortableand they spent all of their Competency in it. Here a question arises that what means that, ” on the Day of Resurrection We assign no weight to them”? So, what is the reality of the weighing of good or bad deeds? Infect it will be judged by weighing that How sincere they are? Whether they are done only for the pleasure of Allah or to anyone else i.e to be seen in the people or to any other god etc.? If they are done under the command and for the pleasure of Him, then they will be very heavy in weight and if it will be not, then they will be light-weighted and will be rejected. And, Balance is where there are two things interact i.e. goodness or badness. And when infidel’s and polytheist’s good deeds go in vain due to wrong belief, then there will be no weighing for them. As for the Muslims, so their case is different. Because they have firm belief in oneness of Allah Almighty and fear Him and hope His mercy and forgiveness, and they obey all the commands of Allah, and follow the good example of the holy ProphetPBUH, ( uswae hasanah), and get guidance from the Companions of the holy Prophet ( may God be pleased with them,) so, Allah will forgive all of their minor and major sins (by repentance) and will enter them Paradise and this is the great success. The holy Quran reveals,” ‘O you servants of Mine who have transgressed against your own selves! Despair not of God’s mercy: behold, God forgives all sins - for, verily, He alone is much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace!”( Az-Zumar (The Groups) 39:53). This is the fruit of the faith of a Muslim. As opposed to unbelievers that they will not be forgiven at all, according to the holy Quran,” Verily Allah shall not forgive that aught be associated with Him, and He will forgive all else unto whomsoever He liketh; and whosoever associateth ought with Allah, hath surely strayed away a far straying. ﴾ An- Nisa:116). In short, anyone who wants to be safe and sound from the losses and to be successful forever, so he should come under the flag of Islam because salvation is only in Islam.

  4. As-Salaam alaikum, The Salaat or Salaah... the 5 daily prayers is the second of the known 5 pillars upon which Islam is built. Prayer (Salaah) is the place for the slave (abd) to confide (munajah) in his Lord, by reciting His words and praising Him. It is the element of cordiality where he totally and completely faces and directs himself towards the Lord. As much as you approach Allah Ta'ala during the prayer(s), He approaches you. This results, if performed to perfection, in expanding the fields of secrets, or expanding the hearts by the shining of lights so that they delight in the arrival of knowledge. Observing the prayer with full attention results in one being submissive to his Lord... The Lord Almighty says in His guarded Book "So woe to them who pray, those who are heedless of their prayers" (107:4-5). He knew your weakness, so He decreased their numbers by decreasing the initial 50 to only 5, and He knew your need for His Grace and generosity, so He increased their rewards, and made them 5 to actually perform but 50 in reward. So magnify and praise Him for what He graced, and thank Him for what He bestowed and granted.
  5. As-Salaam alaikum, We must try to know Allah, our Lord and Creator, before we try to worship Him. Our youth, and in fact, all of us, must strive to be in one of 3 categories of people :- (1) An aleem - a person with knowledge or (2) One who seeks knowledge (a student) or (3) One who listens. Do not be one who has no knowledge, and neither studies nor listens. By all means, go attend majlis ilm. Worship and do good deeds once you have attained knowledge of Allah Ta'ala. And when you do your Ibadah, be sure to perform it with Ikhlas (sincetity). Any act of worship that is devoid of sincerity is akin to a body without ruh (spirit). It becomes worthless, as Allah will not accept it or reward it. Sheikh ibn Ata'illah as-Sankandari said : "Your amal has ruh only when there is Ikhlas in it". The Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, in a Hadith-Qudsi reported that Allah says Sincerity is one secret of His secrets. Allah keeps the secret of Ikhlas in the hearts of His chosen Servants.
  6. As-Salaam alaikum, According to the Holy Qur'an, the divine power to create by language manifests through the Command KUN (Be!). Allah Ta'ala says : "Our Command to a thing when We will it, is to say to it Kun and it is" (16:40) Several verses attest to this mode of creation :(2:117, 3:47, 3:59, 6:73).. A Prophet may also be endowed, with Allah's permission, with the miraculous power to bestow life as seen in Qur'anic reports concerning Ibrahim and Isa (alaihim us-Salaat Was-Salaam) : both were able, the one calling out (2:260) and the other through breathing (3:49, 5:110), to bring dead and inanimate birds into life. ABD al-Wahab Sha'arani, a 16th century Egyptian Sufi master, in his hagiographical Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kubra, ascribes to al-Rufa'i a citation of a divine tradition (Hadith-Qudsi) in which Allah says: 'O sons of Adam, obey Me and I shall obey you, observe Me and I shall observe you, and I shall make you say to a thing' Be'! and it will be".. even with this privilege Allah gives to some of His Servants, it is still approached with the reservation demanded of good manners towards Allah. The courteous among the Ahlullah, who may have the power to dispose, or some other supernatural ability to operate upon something, do so by means of their religious deed, not by means of KUN. They do this largely by means of BISMILLAHI RAHMANI RAHEEM (In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate). For such men full of Adaab (courtesy), and respect to the Divine Court, with regard to bringing something into existence, the formula of BASMALA is like KUN for Allah, by its means certain men bring forth what they will into existence, says Ibn Arabi in his Futuhat Makkiyyah.
  7. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/c75nekwkd4yt Israeli society is protesting not because of thousands of children being killed because 6 Jews were killed. This is a truly SICK society!
  8. As-Salaam alaikum, The Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said : "When Allah desires good for someone, He gives him understanding of the Deen" (Bukhari and Muslim) He also said : "Allah makes the way to the Garden (Jannah) easy for whoever treads a path in search of knowledge" (Muslim). Travelling on the path of/to knowledge refers both to walking along an actual pathway, such as going on foot to assemblies of the Ulama or following a metaphysical road, like studying and/or memorizing. Knowledge is a short path to Allah.. Whoever travels the road of knowledge reaches Allah and Jannah by the shortest route. Knowledge also clears the way out of darkness, ignorance, doubt and skepticism. That is why Allah called His Book, "Light".
  9. As-Salaam alaikum, Says Allah Ta'ala in verse/ayat 27 of chapter 30 of the Holy Qur'an : "AND HE IS THE ONE WHO BEGINS CREATION AND THEN RENEWS IT." (30:27) Allah Ta'ala is the One who begins creation either from dust or from pure non existence. He is the one who originated the creation without a primordial pattern. He thus originated it and then brought it into existence after it had been nothing. The words "... and then renews it", means as Imam Mujahid said: "That He originates creation then causes it to perish and then He will revive it for the Resurrection".
  10. As-Salaam alaikum, Just take a moment and consider it, the earth cannot contain 'LA ILAHA ILLALLAH'.. Everything in creation disappears in it. So, say it, recite it! All secrets that Allah Ta'ala created will enter it and all the Divine Attributes are in it, and that is why Allah likes us to say this Beautiful Kalima. He says nothing can contain 'LA ILAHA ILLALLAH' because it comes from Noorullah, and Noor-an-Nabi comes from Noorullah, that is why you follow the Noor. The Prophet's Light is from Allah's Light, so the Noor follows the Noor as it cannot be separated, and it will to its origin..
  11. An Upbringing of Piety (Mother of Moulana Sayyid Abul Hasan ‘Ali Nadwi [rahimahumallah]) The greatest accomplishment of Khairun Nisaa (rahimahallah) and the highlight of her life was perhaps the exemplary manner in which she raised and moulded her son, Moulana Sayyid Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi (rahimahullah). Moulana was orphaned at the tender age of nine. It was thus his mother who single-handedly attended to his upbringing. Khairun Nisaa was extremely kind and compassionate towards her son, especially since he had lost his father. However, there were two aspects regarding which she was unrelenting and extremely strict. The first was Salaah In this regard, she would not tolerate even the slightest negligence or laziness. If her son ever fell asleep without performing his Esha Salaah, she would wake him up and make him perform it, even if he was in a very deep sleep. Similarly, she would wake him up at the time of Fajr Salaah and send him to the masjid. Thereafter, when he would return after salaah, she would make him sit and recite the Quraan Majeed. The second aspect regarding which she was very strict and firm was his behaviour with the servants and the poor. If he ever ill-treated a servant or the servant’s child, or displayed arrogance and treated them rudely, she would force him to ask them for forgiveness and beg their pardon. Moulana explained the great impact that this had on him throughout his life in the following words, “This (approach, which my mother adopted,) benefited me greatly in my life and instilled within me the intolerance for pride, arrogance and oppression. It also impressed upon me the seriousness of the sin of looking down at people and treating them badly. Furthermore, due to this, it was always easy for me to acknowledge my mistakes (throughout my life).” When Moulana went to Lucknow to study, his mother continued to monitor his progress and check on him through his step-brother. She also continued to write letters to him, advising him and giving him guidance in various areas of his life. Lessons Although it outwardly seems as though she was only strict regarding two aspects, the reality is that she actually impressed to her son the importance of the entire Deen. The reason is that Deen is primarily divided into the duties of Allah Ta‘ala and the duties of the creation. By being strict on salaah, she instilled the importance of the first category of duties in his heart, and by being strict on his behaviour with the servants and the poor, she instilled the importance of the second category in his heart. Even after Moulana grew older and left home to pursue his Deeni studies, his mother remained concerned over his progress and continued to check on him and advise him. This is because the parents’ concern for their child is until they die. Hence, parents must never stop making dua for their children, and so long as they are able to, they must continue to advise them and encourage them towards righteousness. UswatulMuslimah
  12. Abu Hafsat

    Be Moderate.

As-Salaam alaikum, In the Hadith, the Noble Messenger of Allah, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said : "Do good deeds properly, sincerely and moderately. Always adopt a middle, moderate, regular course, whereby you will reach your target". (Bukhari, hadith No. 470) Following the path of moderation and balance in everything make us to want for our brothers what we want for ourselves... thereby choosing truth over selfish want and desire.
  13. As-Salaam alaikum, Says Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, in ayat 99 of chapter 15 of the Holy Qur'an : "AND SERVE YOUR LORD TILL THE INEVITABLE (death) COMES INTO YOU" (Hijr-15:99) Therefore our commitment to submit to Allah Ta'ala should not be a fad, a temporary emotional reaction, we should not waver despite all the highs and lows of life. The goal is to reach the end our life in a state of total submission to our Creator.
  14. As-Salaam alaikum, "No vision (eyes) can grasp Him, but He sees (grasps) all eyes: He is above all comprehension". (6:103) In other words, no sight can reach Him (Allah Ta'ala), while He is in all that sees. Ibn Arabi here observes that "No eyes can see Him, so no one can perceive Him. He is the only existence, and if no one can see Him, then there is no one besides Him. If there were other existences besides Allah, they should have been able to see Him. So the meaning of " the eyes cannot see Him.." is that there is no existence other than His. The eyes cannot see Him because the eyes are created.." Source 'Divine Governance of the Human Kingdom', by Ibn Arabi (Fons Vitae, 1997).
  15. As-Salaam alaikum, Abu Darda'i, may Allah be pleased with him, related that the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, said :- "Allah did not reveal to me to make trade of (with) Allah's Words or to collect (amass) wealth, but He revealed to me, 'But celebrate the Praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration" (Surah Hijr, 15:98) see Ibn Majah and ad-Daylami. Since it was not revealed to the Prophet, Sallallahu alaihi Wasallam, to accumulate money/wealth this indicates that it is not necessary for the whole Ummah to accumulate money over money, beyond one's needs. But we are all charged to "Praise Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, and be from the people who make Sajda".
  16. This brings solace and hope.... Unknown author AWAITING THE KNOCKOUT BLOW: A QURANIC PARALLEL The disappearance of "Israel" from existence is a Quranic truth and a prophetic promise. Therefore, the question is not if it will disappear, but rather when will the final round come? It is not my belief to sit back and wait for miracles. Instead, I believe that miracles come only after the believer has exhausted all their efforts. When falsehood seems to have all the power and victory seems certain, the truth holds on to its last shred of steadfastness. The believer may appear on the brink of defeat, but it is in that moment that Allah intervenes and eventually the miracle arrives. Throughout the Quran, we see a consistent theme: the struggle for influence is distinct from the struggle for belief. In the battle for influence, Allah allows human beings to rely on their resources and power. The stronger party typically prevails, but the conflict over belief operates under a different divine principle. In this realm, the balance of power does not determine the outcome. Quranic Parallels of Divine Intervention: When Allah SWT destroyed Pharaoh, He did so not by shifting the balance of power but at the height of Pharaoh’s pride. Pharaoh declared himself the supreme lord, leading his mighty, well-equipped army. Yet, Allah drowned him and his forces in the Red Sea, showcasing Allah’s might over human arrogance. Similarly, when Allah dealt with Nimrod, it was not in a moment of weakness for Nimrod but at the peak of his defiance, when he proclaimed, “I give life and I cause death.” Allah’s power struck him down at the height of his arrogance. The tribe of Aad met their fate while boasting of their strength, saying, “Who is stronger than us?” Allah’s punishment came not by changing the causes but while they stood in their might. Likewise, Thamud was destroyed as they confidently roamed the rocks in their valley, oblivious to their imminent doom. The Battle of Faith and Endurance: During the battle of Khandaq, the believers were besieged, their hearts heavy with fear as the enemy surrounded them (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:10-12). The earth, vast as it was, felt narrow to them. Yet, it was at this moment, when all seemed lost, that Allah sent a wind and unseen forces, scattering the enemy and granting victory to the steadfast (Surah Al-Ahzab 33:9). The War in Gaza: As the war on Gaza began, I initially thought it would be just another round in a long series of conflicts, ending as the previous war had. But now, I sense that this could be the final round, the knockout blow. This war, like those before it, may seem under human control, but it has long been beyond our hands and Israel. It seems the hand of Allah is directing it. I am not against rationality, reasoning, and accepting reality. But rationality alone cannot account for the steadfastness, strength, and stability displayed by the people of Gaza thus far. Consider this: Under relentless high-tech bombing, great powers would have melted into extinction. How could a small, narrow stretch of coastline withstand such constant bombardment? With its flat geography, devoid of mountains, valleys, or forests, it should be a military target’s delight, a vulnerable zone for the first attack from a massive arsenal dominating the sea, air, and land. Given that Israel’s previous wars against united Arab nations ended in a matter of days or even hours, speaking of realism now seems like a misplaced materialistic belief. This war, regardless of how it ends, will lay the foundation for the eventual knockout. But one thing is certain: the outcome is no longer in human hands. The hand of Allah is at work, guiding the course of events toward His will. Just as He has done throughout history, He will bring about His plan in His time, and those who trust in Him will see His deliverance, InshAllah - VERY SOON There is no occupier that remains in its occupation. This is an established fact that no one can deny, regardless of the beliefs of the owners of the land!
  17. By Muhammad Rafique Etesame The holy Quran reveals, “Unto God belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth. And whether you bring into the open what is in your minds or conceal it, God will call you to account for it; and then He will forgive whom He wills, and will chastise whom He wills: for God has the power to will anything. Al-Baqara (The Cow) 2:284 The companions of the holy Prophet PBUH became very confused after hearing this verse, and they did not experience such grief before. Because Allah has appointed two angels over every man to write his good or bad deeds as the holy Quran reveals,” But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. Kiraman (honorable) Katibin writing down (your deeds). They know all that you do”. ﴾Al infitar:12 And then wrong thinking is a hidden act that is not in the control of man because these come in the mind automatically, then what to do? But when the companions said this state of affairs to the holy Prophet PBUH, he comforted them as the holy Quran reveals,” The messenger believeth in that which hath been revealed unto him from his Lord and (so do) believers. Each one believeth in Allah and His angels and His scriptures and His messengers - We make no distinction between any of His messengers – (and they say)” We hear, and we obey”). (Grant us) Thy forgiveness, our Lord. Unto Thee is the journeying. AL- infitar:285. According to the commentators, the man will be the sinful when he acts upon the uncontrollably thoughts. For example, if he sees an unmarried woman or by her his wedding is lawful, and he falls in love with her so much that he wants to commit adultery with her, So… the adultery of eyes is, speaking to an unmarried woman, and adultery of lounge is, obscene taking with her, so, if he does not commit adultery with her by fearing Allah so, his adultery of eyes and lounge will be forgiven, and if recommitted, then his adultery is confirmed. Similarly, if someone is going for theft but on the way he feared Allah and forsook the intention of theft and returned back so, he will not be guilty due to his intention of theft. The holy Quran reveals,” Those who avoid enormities of sin and abominations, save the unwilled offences - (for them) lo! thy Lord is of vast mercy. He is Best Aware of you (from the time) when He created you from the earth, and when ye were hidden in the bellies of your mothers. Therefor ascribe not purity unto yourselves. He is Best Aware of him who wards off (evil). (ANajm:32). So, unless a faithful believer acts upon the wrong thinking, he will never be taken into account, but he should try his best to remove such type of thoughts and should upon them and Allah is forgiving and merciful.
  18. The mother said to her son's wife, smiling after the honeymoon: You were able to make my son commit to praying in the mosque. You succeeded in thirty days, while I failed in thirty years. Her eyes filled with tears. The son's wife replied, saying: Do you know, mother, the story of: The Stone and the Treasure? It is said that there was a large stone blocking the way for people to pass. .. So a man volunteered to break it and remove it. The man tried and hit the stone with an axe 99 times, then he got tired... Then a man passed by him and asked him to help him... And indeed, the man took the axe and hit the large stone, and it split from the first blow. .. The surprise was that there was a bag full of gold under the rock, so the man said: It is mine, I split the stone... So the two men argued before the judge, the first said: Give me some of the treasure, I hit the stone 99 times and then got tired, and the other said: The whole treasure is mine, I am the one who split the stone... The judge replied: The first one gets 99 parts of the treasure, and you, the one who split the stone, get one part... Oh man, if it weren't for his 99 strikes, the stone wouldn't have split a hundred times. 💚 Thirty years, and the mother urges her son to pray without despair.. Then she rejoices that her son prayed out of affection for his wife.. even though he disobeyed her for thirty years!! 💚 Then how beautiful is the behavior of the son's wife and how great is her morals when she did not attribute the credit to herself, but rather made the mother completely confident that her efforts were not in vain and that she was the one who laid the foundation stone and built brick by brick until the last brick remained that the son's wife completed..
  19. Incident where Nabi sallallaahu 'alayhi wasallam took the advice of his wife Umm Salamah RA The incident took place during the journey to Makkah to perform the Umrah and the Muslims were prevented from entering Makkah and which led to the signing of the Treaty of Hydaybiyyah. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had ratified the treaty, he commanded his Companions to get up, slaughter their sacrificial animals, and shave their heads, but none of them got up. (The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was telling his Companions to end the state of ihraam which they had entered in order to perform 'Umrah. They had been prevented from entering Makkah, and were to wait until the following year to perform 'Umrah, but they did not want to abandon their hope of performing 'Umrah on this occasion. They did not want to accept the deal that had been struck with the Quraysh, hence they were reluctant to end their ihraam.) He told them three times to do this, but not one of them responded. He went to his wife Umm Salamah, and told her what he was facing from the people. At this point the wisdom and intelligence of Umm Salamah become quite clear. She told him, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took her advice, and did as she suggested. When the Sahaabah saw that, they rushed to sacrifice their animals and shave their heads
  20. Glad to be of help. Please see here for more ifta sites where we can ask questions
  21. Q. I was discussing a matter with my friend and there were two reasonable options before me. I said I will consider my wife's opinion and then decide accordingly. My friend said that this is incorrect and goes against the teachings of Islam. Is there anything wrong with seeking one's wife's opinion? If it is acceptable to do so, could you please provide the evidence from Islamic teachings? Also, I would appreciate any additional insights on the matter. A. There is nothing wrong with seeking the opinion of your wife or any other family member, and it is certainly not against the Quran or Hadith. In fact, taking advice from those close to you, especially your spouse, is not only permissible but also recommended in Islam. One of the most profound examples of this can be found in the life of our beloved Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam. When Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam received the first revelation in the cave of Hira, he was deeply shaken and unsure of what had just happened. He immediately went to his wife, Sayyidatuna Khadijah (Radhiyallahu Anha), seeking her comfort and advice. It was Khadijah (Radhiyallahu Anha) who reassured him, reminded him of his good character, and supported him during this crucial time. She played a vital role in comforting him and in helping him understand that what he had experienced was a divine message from Allah Ta’ala. This incident is a clear example that seeking the counsel of one’s wife is not only permissible but can be of great benefit. The Quran also encourages mutual consultation. In Surah Ash-Shura (42:38), Allah Ta’ala praises those who conduct their affairs by mutual consultation. The verse says: "And those who have responded to their lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend." This verse highlights the importance of Shura (consultation) in making decisions, and this principle applies within the family as well. There is also a Hadith that supports the importance of consultation. Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said: "The one who seeks counsel is never disappointed…" (Narrated by al-Tabarani in al-awsat) This Hadith emphasizes that consulting others, including one's spouse, is a means of avoiding disappointment and making sound decisions. In summary, seeking the opinion of your wife or any other close person is not only permissible but is encouraged in Islam. The example of the Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam and the teachings of the Quran and Hadith all point to the wisdom and benefit in mutual consultation, especially within the family.
