  3. W-Salam, Please don't forward this to anyone yet! Kindly read it because I wrote it and then the formatting got corrupted (fonts, colors etc) so read it and inform me of any errors which can be corrected. http://central-mosque.com/index.php/Civil/tableeghi-jamaat-in-the-scale-of-qur-aan-sunnah.html Its already got 282 hits and I haven't even released it yet! Jazakullah Khairun
  4. Asslamo Allaikum, The other way to look at the situation is through the eyes of the victim. Sayyidina Yusuf (AS) was slandered and accused of something which he didn't commit so he refused to come out of Jail until his character was cleared. He didn't simply "Forgive & Forget"! Today, people give lessons of forgiveness to the victim but forgiveness is enocuraged for the victim but justice is his/her right (due) so if the victim has been wronged its his/her right to seek justice. In Islam we are supposed to refute the oppressor and ensure that he/she moves away from oppression whether it is verbal or physical abuse. Very important point. Many people in our times have no regards to these matters. We asked Shaykh (Mufti) Zubair Dudha (RA) to summarise Tassawuff and he stated Shaykh (Maulana) Ashraf Ali Thanwi (RA) said its to prevent usurpion of rights of others and not necessarily just Dhik'r and every other paraphanalia which goes with it.
  5. Asslamo Allaikum, Its appearing now and playing. Jazakullah Khairun
  6. Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, Repeatedly in the Qur’aan & Sunnah we are reminded to place our reliance (Tawakkul) exclusively on Allah (SWT) and Allah (SWT) will suffice for all our needs. Allah (SWT) saved Sayyidina Ibraheem (AS) from the fire of Namrod. Allah (SWT) saved Sayyidina Musa (AS) from the army of Fir’uan and the waves of the sea. Allah (SWT) saved Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) and Khalifatur-Rasool Sayyidina Abu-Bakr As-Sideeq (RA) from the ferocious men of Quryash who were chasing them with nothing but a spider-web and some pigeon eggs! So how is it Allah (SWT) CANNOT solve our problems? Have the powers of Allah (SWT) diminished and may we be saved from such a belief! Read blog
  7. Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, We are increasingly being approached by practising Muslims brothers and sisters who are concerned by their Internet usage so here are some thoughts... Many of our practising brothers and sisters have only a “traditional” understanding of addiction which is to say that they associate addiction with drugs, alcohol, smoking or even when they associate addiction with the Internet its generally thought to be “P ornogrpahy addiction” etc. The sad reality is that many practising brothers and sisters could be addicted to Internet in continually surfing: Islamic sites Islamic forums Continuously and repeatedly checking emails News sites (BBC etc) Watching youtube Watching movies or TV shows etc You could be spending your time on the Internet on Halal and STILL be addicted Read blog here
  8. Asslamo Allaikum, The doors to Iberian Peninsula (roughly modern day spain) were opened by the Galant 17 year old Muslim General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) between 711-718. Around the 29th of April 711 the army of General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) landed near a mountain and against heavy odds famously ordered all the boats to be burnt and to fight for the sake of Allah (SWT) with the ocean on their back and enemy in the front. The mountain where the army of General Tariq Ibn Ziyad (RA) drew the line in the sand and irrigated the soil of Europe with their blood of Shahadah to this day is called Jabal At-Tariq (Mountain of Tariq, latinised by later Europeans to be Gibraltar) Read blog here...

  10. Asslamo Allaikum Sister LOVE ISLAM, These 3 categories of Tawheed are controversial as the Salaf didn't categorize the Tawheed into 3 and this is what one group of Ulamah state. The others (who categories it such a manner) respond that its a linguistic categorization rather then a technical categorization. In my humble opinion, Muslims should simply affirm their belief in Tawheed of Allah (SWT) and refrain from in-depth technical Aqeedah discussions which are divisive and lead to dispute. Belief is a matter of the heart and the Sahaba (RA) worked on their Eeemaan (which is vital for salvation) and not on technical categorizations and divisions. I wrote this over 3 years and have yet to find someone who disagrees with it. http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/showthread.php?46137-3-min-discussion-with-a-Salafi-about-attributes-of-Allah-%28SWT%29 When you read classical Islamic literature there is almost no entensive debates and discussions on Aqeedah because its a straightforward matter. Jazakullah Khairun Allah (SWT) knows best.
  11. Asslamo Allaikum, There are too many Muslim women who take hormonal drugs and Brith Control Pills and there is no seriousl, professionally written and critiqued article on any Deobandi site which warns our Sisters of the side-effect of this non-nense. Catholic women have access to resarch on many safe Birth control methods and Muslim woman should be informed about these matters, particularly in Asian countries local Muslim women are being devastated by taking these chemicals!
  12. It was a seminar held by a group called 'Shamprodayikota-Jongibad Birodhi Moncho' on 17 July, 2010. In the seminar, Shawkat Ali MP, a ruling party lawmaker and deputy speaker at the house, told, "Women in burqa, I saw a very few of them in my childhood. Their number has increased now. Women those wear burqa, are used to have ugly faces, in fact they use burqa to hide their ugly face in name of religion." We cannot even imagine the atmosphere of a house if it's deputy chair is used to have so rotten attitude like this. This is absolutely disgraceful. www.bangladeshfirst.com http://www.videodizin.com/izle/deputy_speaker_shawkat_alis_disgraceful_remark_on_women_in_burqa_1290299.html
  13. Deputy Speaker of Bangladeshi Parliament said in Parliament, "...We see too many women wearing the Burqa, Women should be free in their movement. Why should they cover themselves? Wearing of Burqa is increasing in the villages, women with ugly faces using religion to cover their ugly faces..."
  14. Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, I remember buying one of the first HTC smart phones with windows and paying top money for it, having this device meant that I didn’t have to carry my PDA and phone and I could now just carry 1 device with which I could: Browse the web Check my email Open all my documents and edit them Make/Recieve Phone calls This gadget was brilliant and everyone was wow'ed by it as they saw me open document, read etc and then take a phone call in the middle of it all! This baby did EVERYTHING except make good phone calls, the connection was bad and it kept dropping the line! Let me say it again, the phone did EVERYTHING except make good phone calls! Today, we as Muslims need to revisit our purpose in life, we are politicaly & media savvy, we are aware of current affairs, we can google and obtain Ahadeeth relevant to our research but we have fogotten our purpose in our life which is: [51:56] I did not create the Jinns and the human beings except for the purpose that they should worship Me. And how do you worship Allah (SWT)? According to the Sunnah of Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) because all if we don't then our claims are useless and our life is heading in the wrong direction! [3:31] Say (O Prophet): .If you really love Allah, then follow me, and Allah shall love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful. So critique your life according to these two verses and fulfill your primary objective otherwise you may be just as useless as a phone which does EVERYTHING except make good phone calls! Smart Phones & Purpose of Life!
  15. Asslamo Allaikum, I try to keep the infoprmation upto date so its easier to update one source rather then trying to remember every forum where it is posted and then updating information because I don't like putting half jobs and then people searching around to contact Ulamah-e-Kiraam. Jazakullah Khairun
  16. 2 Muftees have given Fatwa that such a situation will be permissable but I personally have my doubts and the Sisters cancelled the event anyways...
  17. Yes, Sorry about the typo. 2 Answers: Mufti Zubair Dudha (HA): Ok, if nothing impermissable takes place Mufti (Sunnifoum): If they wait until Rabi-Awwal is over, it will be better Don't call it Meelad call it general talk etc It should be remembered that teh Deobandees are not against mentioning the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) & His birth as the impression given by Barelwees but the Deobandi stance can be summarised as: Not allowing Bi'dah Not imitating Non-Muslim festivals and events in the name of Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam)'s rememberance
  18. <p>Asslamo Allaikum,</p> <p> </p> <p>A bunch of Non-Barelwee Sister conduct a weekly Halaqah and they are discussing to have a "Halal Meelad" in our of their Halaqahs:</p> <p> </p> <ol> <li>There won't be any men attending</li> <li>It will be just them other women and their children under 8/9</li> <li>They will sing some Na'aats</li> <li>They will recite Durood</li> <li>They may do some Taleem from some books</li> </ol> <p>I am scratching my head but I am not sure if this can be classed as Haram or Bid'ah???</p> <p> </p>
  19. Asslamo Allaikum, My limited understanding is that normal feet of a woman are not Awrah but if she puts Mehndi, ankle bracletes, nail-polish, toe-rings etc then they would be counted as Awrah and need to be covered and it is also better to cover them anyways, is that right?
  20. Asslamo Allaikum, I have delayed moving forward on purpose but what should I do? Jazakullah Khairun
  21. http://www.muftisays.com/blog/Muadh_Khan/3150_22-01-2013/prayer-of-a-hanafi-behind-another-imam.html Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh, Many Muslims who follow the Hanafi Madhab in our times are confused about the matter of praying behind an Imam who is following another Madhab because the method or conditions of Wudhu or prayer is different to the Hanafi Madhab. Firstly, please understand that the four (4) Madhabs are based on Ahadeeth and actions of Sahaba (RA) and the later generations and in the earliest generations of Islam we find no precedence of believers refusing to pray behind each other. Secondly, this issue can only be discussed with respect to Aqeedah (creedal differences) or Fiqh (jurisprudence differences) and Hanafi Ulamah have spoken with regards to both. Aqeedah (Creedal point of view): Imam Tahawi (RA) was a Hanafi, an Imam in Aqeedah and he makes the point sufficiently clear: ونری الصلاۃ خلف کل بر وفاجر من اھل القبلۃ ، ونصلی من مات منھم 69. We agree with doing the prayer behind any of the People of the Qibla whether rightful or wrongful, and doing the funeral prayer over any of them when they die. Fiqh (jurisprudence point of view): Shah Abdul-Aziz [1745-1823] (RA) was the eldest son of Shah Waliullah (RA) and a giant knowledge of Hadeeth & Hanafi Fiqh and an accepted authority, he severally castigates those who question this matter, calls them narrow minded and says that their opinion is not worth listening to. he states in his Fatawa: Q) Is it permissible for someone following the Hanafi Madhab to follow Shaf’ae, Maliki, Hanbali and all of them in prayer? A) The prayer of someone following the Hanafi Madhab is permissible and correct behind a Shaf’ae, Maliki, Hanbali and this is because in principle (*) there is no difference between these Madhabs and this command is evident from books of Ahdaeeth & Fiqh but in our times some Ulamah from Transoxiana due to their deficient knowledge hold “Taa’sub” and talk about this matter but their discussions are to be rejected because it is against Fiqh & Aheedth and their personal Ijtehaad and it is absolutely not worth being relied upon or even listening to! In Makkah Muadhama, this method is being practised upon that people pray behind each other and if this was not the case then what would be the difference between (different) Madhabs of Ahlus-Sunnah and deviant sects? According to Ahlus-Sunnah and all trustworthy and major Fuqaha truth is encircled within the four (4) Madhabs and this matter should be looked into authentic books of principle so the heart finds content (in it). Urdu Fatwa (*) Here he means that all four Madhabs are part of Ahlus-Sunnah Wal Jamaah in principle and not that principles within the Madhabs are the same! Issue of Imam wiping on Thin Socks? Caught in a situation? I am being bombarded with emails so here is a quick response. According to Hanbali Madhab the socks which are deemed suitable for Mas'ah simply need to be thick enough for the underlying skin to not be discernible. Basically: thickness is a quality that is not sought in and of itself; thus it is neither sought in and of itself nor is it something quantitative. So what follows is that regardless of the "thickness" or the "thinness" of the material: as long as the color of the underlying skin is not discernible, then it is considered "thick". Prayer is permissible according to Shaykh (Mufti) Rafi Usmani (HA): Ulamah of Yorkshire put this question to Shaykh (Mufti) Rafi Usmani (HA) about praying behind someone on an occasion and he (HA) responded that an assumption should be made that the Imam is following conditions of Hanbali Madhab and prayer will be valid and doesn't need to be repeated. I have personally checked and verified this. Prayer is permissible according to Shaykh (Mufti) Mahmoud Usmani (HA): This is what Shaykh Mahmoud Usmani said, emphasizing that we have not been made morally responsible to pry into the affairs of others, especially when doing so entails undue hardship, and that the default assumption regarding all human actions (as explained by Imam Abul Hasan al-Karkhi, the great Hanafi faqih) is that they are valid and sound, and we are expected to interpret them in such a manner whenever possible. Or assume that his socks are thick enough (e.g. in the Hanbali school, whose conditions are less taxing than the others in this matter). Issue of Imam wiping on Thin Socks? When an alternative is available? As a believer you are supposed to leave alone matters which places doubt in your heart so the superior method would be for you to remove doubt from your worship and if there is another congregation available then you should opt to pray behind an Imam who is not wiping on thin socks according to Hanafi Madhab. On the authority of Abu Muhammad al-Hasan bin Ali bin Abi Taib, the grandson of the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ëalayhi wasallam, and who is dearest to him, radiyallahu ëanhuma, who said: I committed to memory from the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ëalayhi wasallam, (the following words): Leave that about which you are in doubt for that about which you are in no doubt.
