Strangers

Recommended Posts

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

"Islam began as something strange and will revert to being strange as it began, so give glad tidings to the strangers."

[Sahīh Muslim 145]

Imam Aḥmad رحمه الله said that ibn Mas'ood  رضي الله عنه  said, "There will be a time when the believer will be more humiliated than a slave. And that is because of his ghuraba (strangeness) towards the end of time in the midst of the people of corruption... Everyone will hate him and hurt him, because his methodology will contradict theirs and his objectives will be different from theirs, because he is different from them"

[MAJMŪ' AL-RASA’IL, (VOL. 2, P. 329)]
