Carrying out Actions for the Pleasure of Allah Ta’ala

 

عن أبي الدرداء رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه و سلم قال الدنيا ملعونة ملعون ما فيها إلا ما ابتغي به وجه الله تعالى رواه الطبراني بإسناد لا بأس به  (الترغيب و الترهيب 1/61

 

Hadhrat Abu Dardaa (Radhiyallahu Anhu) reports that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said: “The entire world with whatever is contained in it is cursed (on account of it distracting one from Allah Ta’ala and the Hereafter), except those actions carried out for the pleasure of Allah Ta’ala.

The one who seek the pleasure of Allah (SWT) through his actions purely know that Allah (SWT) please with him for follow the actions. The actions that seek pleasure of Allah (SWT) are Worship Allah (SW), making Dua and actions of fard, mandub, and nafilah.
