  1. Hands, forehead and nose

    Hands, knees and toes;

    A Sajdah

    Pleases the Mu’min

    And enrages the foes!

How blissful is the wind which blows

Between the members of a body lost

In the remembrance of He to whom,

Every living entity prostrates and bows.

    Hands, forehead and nose

    Hands, knees and toes;

    A Sajdah

    Pleases the Mu’min

    And enrages the foes!

    Only the Mu’min knows

The light which, inside the heart,

    Incessantly burns and glows.

    Hands, forehead and nose

    Hands, knees and toes;

    A sajdah

    Pleases the Mu’min

    And enrages the foes!

  2. "Exalted is He and high above what they describe"

    He Is ALLAH; My Lord.

    Who Bestowed Mariam

    The utmost miraculous pregnancy.

    He Is ALLAH; My Lord.

    Who Sent the glorious prophecy

    And Made Muhammad’s Light

    Brightly glow.

    He Is ALLAH; My Lord.

    Through Whose Eternal Mercy,

    The wind-soldiers incessantly blow.

    He Is ALLAH; My Lord.

    Whom I remember

    With a tongue sometimes fast

    And other times; slow.

    He Is ALLAH; My Lord.

His Blessings are like a river

    Which will eternally flow.

  3. Our success lies in our ability to stand firmly on the right path! We shall always win over the nafs and its luring whispers if we stay away from anything which may lead us astray! As long as we stick to our deen, shaytaan will lose!

  4. It is related that one day Shaqiq al-Balkhi asked his student Hatim Al-Asamm, "How long have you kept my company?" "Thirty-three years," he replied. "And what have you learned from me in all this time?" "Eight things," he said. "We belong to Allah and we return to him!" exclaimed Shaqiq. "You have spent your whole life with me and only learned eight things! What are they?"

"Firstly," replied Hatim, "I looked at mankind and I saw that everyone loves something and continues to do so. When he goes to his grave, whatever he loved leaves him. Therefore I made my good actions what I love, for when I enter the grave they will enter it along with me." "You have done well," said Shaqiq.

"What is the second?" "The second is that I examined the words of the Almighty, 'But as for him who feared the Station of his Lord and forbade the self its appetites, the Garden shall be his refuge.' (79:40-41) Knowing that the words of the Almighty are true, I strove against myself to keep my appetites at bay until I was firm in Allah Almighty.

The third is that I looked at people and saw that everyone has something of worth which they value and protect. Then I looked at the words of the Almighty, 'What is with you comes to an end. But what is with Allah is everlasting.' (16:96) So whenever something of value comes to me, I direct it to Allah Almighty so that it may remain with Him for me.

The fourth is that I looked at Allah's creatures and saw that all of them set much store by property, reputation, honor, and lineage. I examined those things and found them to be nothing. Then I looked at the words of the Almighty, 'The noblest among you in Allah's sight is the most god fearing of you.' (49:13) So I set much store by fear of Allah so that I might be noble in His sight.

The fifth is that I looked at people and I found that some of them attacked others and some of them cursed others; and I realized that the reason they did that was envy. Then I looked at the words of the Almighty, 'We have meted out among them their livelihood in the life of this world.' (43:32). So I abandoned envy and enmity towards creation, knowing that what is allotted to me will and must reach me.

The sixth is that I saw that people fought and were hostile to one another. I looked for my true enemy and found it to be Shaytan and indeed Allah Almighty says, 'Shaytan is an enemy to you, so treat him as an enemy.' (35:6) So I made him my enemy and loved everyone else.

The seventh is that I looked at mankind and found them seeking excessive wealth and abasing themselves because of it. I looked at the words of the Almighty, 'There is no creature on the earth whose provision is not with Allah alone.' (11:6) I realized that I am one of those who are provided for and so I busied myself with Allah Almighty and abandoned everything else besides Him.

The eighth is that I looked at people and I saw that they relied on different things: one on his commerce, another on his profession, and yet another on his health. Every creature was relying on another creature! I looked at the words of the Almighty, 'And whoever puts his trust in Allah, He is enough for him.' (65:3) Therefore I put my trust in Allah Almighty."

"Hatim," said Shaqiq, "Allah has given you success, and you have left nothing out.’He gives wisdom to whomever He wishes.'

  5. Did you ever wonder why

Each time the twilight comes into sight,

    We feel strangely in need

Of letting out that lengthy sigh?

    Did you ever wonder why

    We have goosebumps,

Upon hearing the words of Allah

And most of the time; we start to cry?

    Did you ever wonder why

    Every time, someone disappears

    Leaving behind him burning tears;

We feel as though we are about to die?

    Did you ever wonder why

Whenever we want to make a dua'a

    We raise our hands

And automatically look at the sky?

  6. Do you want to know how successful you are? Measure the distance between you and Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala! How close are you to your creator? Are you struggling to tame that so-called “indomitable” Nafss? Did you declare an open and merciless war against the devil? Did you make of shaytaan your enemy?

Do you want to know how successful you are and how successful you can be? Measure the distance between you and Allah!

  7. Subhaan Allah!

He made the plants gently grow.

    Subhaan Allah!

    Repeat, Subhaan Allah!

    As the sun brightly glow.

    Subhaan Allah!

    Repeat, Subhaan Allah!

As the seas smoothly ebb and flow.

    Subhaan Allah!

    Repeat, Subhaan Allah!

With a tongue sweet and slow.

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Beautify!

    Purify,

    your tongue!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Sanctify your heart,

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Make it clean,

    Make it strong !

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Inject love!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Project love!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Repeat, Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

    Subhaan Allah!

  8. I stood up, took a deep breath and left the room. There was nothing to add. The Masjid was built and people started to talk. They talked about everything: the architecture, the ceiling, the clocks, the width of the marble, the colour of the rugs…everything! But they never talked about him. In fact, they didn’t know him. He once told me that if I wanted to give a Sadaqa, I had to hide it from the whole world. No one had to know the “What” and the “How much”. He was a very pious and righteous man who left such a great impact on my personality.

“Look, if you give a Sadaqa for the sake of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala or if you come to the help of someone for the sake of Allah, no one should know it, it should remain a secret” this is what Abduljabbar used to tell me and whenever I met him, he was always hiding something behind his back. I knew that he was going to offer some candies to the kids for I myself, used to be one of them. Abduljabbar was a very special person, a sort of light was emanating from his face and he was always smiling. Before I left the room that night, I noticed sadness in his eyes and for the first time, I saw Abduljabbar crying. He took his decision and I was unable to convince him. I was still young at that time and he always succeeded in showing me how reasonable and how logical were all of his analyses. That night I really couldn’t sleep; where shall Abduljabbar go now? Where shall he live? And how?

Salaat Al ‘Ishaa was finished and people started to leave. I remained for a while inside the Masjid, remembering Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala, praising Him and thanking Him for His innumerable blessings. When the Imam saw me raising my hands in Dua’a, he came and sat beside me and when I finished; he said: “Ameen! May Allah Azza Wa Jal accept!” I turned towards him, smiled and said: “Allahuma Ameen! Jazak Allah khayer”

“Did you remember your parents in your Dua’a my kid?” “Yes Sir, as usual” “And who else?” “Well, tonight I also made a special Dua’a for a special person who spent all his fortune in the building of this beautiful Masjid” “Do you know him?” “Yes Sir, he used to be a friend of mine…” “Used to be? Is he…” “No, he is still alive Alhamdulillah! It’s just that he moved and left the neighbourhood” “Why?” “He just couldn’t remain here, he sold his apartment and he told me that I should never inform anyone about what he did” I started to tell the Imam the whole story for I felt that I had to share the truth with him. “I really don’t know if I will be able to see him again and I prefer not to tell you his name but I wish that on Friday, you make a Dua’a for him at the end of the Khutba In Shaa Allah” “In Shaa Allah, my kid, In Shaa Allah; I will”

Abduljabbar used to live in a very nice and big apartment. When he heard that the people were planning to build a new Masjid, He did not hesitate; he sold his apartment and gave me the money in a sealed box on which was written: “From a Muhssin, please remember me in your Dua’a”. When I gave the box to my father and told him that it was a secret and that the Muhssin was a friend of mine, he was really amazed. In fact, he started to ask me some detective-like questions but he knew me very well; he trusted me and I understood that he might have some little doubts.

Some four years ago, I saw a big limousine while I was crossing the street. Though it was dark, I managed to see that familiar radiant face of Abduljabbar behind the steering wheel. On the back windshield, was written: “Haada Min Fadli Rabi”

  9. Can you imagine humans with only one ear? I don’t know, it could be a big one right on the top of their heads or it could be a small one; in the middle of their forehead. Alhamdulillah! Allah has created us in the most perfected image.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful : « It is Allah who made for you the earth a place of settlement and the sky a ceiling and formed you and perfec

ted your forms and provided you with good things. That is Allah, your Lord; then blessed is Allah, Lord of the worlds. (64) » Ghafir (64) (Interpretation of the meaning)

    Alhamdulillah, we have two ears!

And this is why we should use both of them. It is not fair to give a hasty judgment and to rely on the information provided by one side of the story. “You see that man over there? He did this and that …”

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful : « O ye who believe! avoid suspicion as much (as possible): for suspicion in some cases is a sin: and spy not on each other, nor speak ill of each other behind their backs. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Nay, ye would abhor it but fear Allah: for Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (12) » Al Hujurat (12) (Interpretation of the meaning)

It is so easy to spread rumors and to tarnish the image of a good person. Let’s be just, let’s listen to what the other side is saying too and let’s not make any hurried judgment.

  11. Islam has always been the target of enemies. The distorted image and the blasphemous portrait that the slaves of the devil have been projecting into the mind of the mass, make it a little bit difficult to erase the illusive and to reveal the truth. Layers and layers of lies and misconceptions have unfortunately been spread over it; painting its traits with the ugliest color

s and drawing its features with the bloodiest illustrations. Evil plots and dark schemes have always been surrounding it trying to engulf it and to slow down its development. The army of darkness has thrown her obscure cloak over the minds and has managed to conquer some territories and to gain some support from the viciously decorated souls. However, in spite of all these poor efforts; Islam remains the fastest growing religion on earth and hundreds of people are daily embracing it. Alhamdulillah! The circumference of the circle of light is getting bigger and bigger and no one will ever stop it. Our God is protecting it and is constantly feeding it with all the possible and even “impossible” light.

Light will prevail. It is inevitable. Good will conquer the land. It is inevitable. Peace will spread her wings over the shoulders of man. It is inevitable. The sweet and heavenly scent of mercy will fly around. It is inevitable. This Deen is The Deen of Allah, it is protected by Him and it shall reach all the hearts In Sha’a Allah. Yet, we cannot just sit and watch. This is not what is expected from us, we are Ummat Muhammad Salla Allahu A’alayhi Wa Sallam, we have a strong obligation towards this Deen and we have to spread “the beam of light”. Ours is the duty of mending the broken pieces. Ours is the responsibility of polishing the truth. Ours is the task of repainting the portrait. We must rearrange all this cacophony and silence all the deceitful tongues by showing our worth. We are Muslims; capable of all the good, unable to fabricate corruption or to practice falsehood. We are Muslims; honest, kind, extremely humble and just. We strive for the establishment of a peaceful world. No we are not Terrorists brother! In fact; terror and fear are not present in our daily conversations. Yes brother, some of us have tarnished the purity of our Islam but we don’t carry bombs around our belts and we don’t go out in the street hiding knives and pistols in our jackets! We are human beings just like you! The difference is that we know the reason why we are here on earth and we want to share it with you!

    Come to the light brother!

    Come to the light!

  12. Health,

    Painting the cheeks

    With an abundant red.

    Health,

    Stretching her silhouette

    Upon the silky bed.

    Like a crown

    Over the head,

    So mighty

Yet – so fragile a thread.

    Health,

    Blowing up the chest

    With power, energy

    And all the rest.

    Singing her joyful song

    With a voice incredibly strong,

    She celebrates her colorful days

    Through screams, dances

And in so many other ways.

    Until Illness joins the game,

    Now,

Things are no more the same.

    Fever,

    Pallor and blurred faces.

    Insomnia,

    Pain and trembling paces.

    Death,

    Knocking on the door.

    Now, no festivities

    No! No more.

    O my God!

    O my Lord!

    Ya Allah!

    Ya Rab!...

    So strange

    Is this human being

He remembers Allah and his deen

Only when danger enters the scene.

    Now,There he is

    Full of piety;

The greatest of all the Muslimeen.

  13. I still can see, through the darkness of the lacerated dark tunnel; I still can breathe. Light is immanently coming out of the realm of obscurity and there is a chance for every one to see those particles of light coming out shortly after the departure of night-soldiers.

‹‹ Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse. (8) He it is Who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of Truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse. (9) ›› [As-Saff] (Interpretation of the meaning)

  14. How could I act sinfully?

When I know that Allah A’azza Wa Jall

    Sees everything!

How could I utter a bad word?

When I know that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala

    Hears everything!

    How?

And how could I let my hand

Reach out for that which doesn’t belong to me?

    How?

    How could I judge someone

    Unjustly?

    How could I look jealously,

    To what Allah gave generously,

    To others?

    How?

And how could I prevent these tears from falling

    Whenever I remember Him?

    How could I try

    Not to cry?

And how could I tell a lie?

    How could I walk arrogantly?

    When Al Qur’an says:

"And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men

    Nor walk in insolence through the earth;

For Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.”

How could I hide a dreadful thought?

    When I know that:

“If there be (but) the weight of a mustard-seed

And it were (hidden) in a rock,

Or (anywhere) in the heavens or on earth,

    Allah will bring it forth”

    How?

But how could I be hopeless?

When I know that He Said:

[Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins:

For He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.]

    Alhamdulillah!

  15. Mother!

    Mother!

    Look what I’ve got!

    Do you see?

    I’ve got new brand shoes

I made them with my own hand

    And I can use them

    All over the land!

    Do you see?

    I’ve got new brand shoes

    They are made of plastic

    I think they’re just fantastic!

    I’ve got new brand shoes

    I didn’t have to choose

    In fact,

It was the only pair of plastic bottle left!

    But you know, Alhamdulillah!

We got used to be bereft

Of all that kind of stuff they call “necessity”

    Do you remember mother?

    When I asked my father

    Why he had always

Been walking with those bare feet?

Do you remember what he said?

He said: “look son! I don’t want anything

To prevent me from being in direct

Physical connection with my beloved land!”

    Remember?

Do you think he was right?

Do you think I should throw away

    These shoes?

    No mother!

    I will keep them

And I shall never lend them

To anyone else but my father!

    And

    You know,

Even if they are made only of plastic,

    I think they’re still

    Incredibly fantastic!
