Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

During some of the Ghazawat of the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) a

woman was found killed. Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)

disapproved the killing of women and children.

Narrated Ikrima (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Ali burnt some people and this news reached Ibn 'Abbas, who said, "Had I

been in his place I would not have burnt them, as the Prophet (Sallallahu

'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, 'Don't punish (anybody) with Allah's Punishment.'

No doubt, I would have killed them, for the Prophet said, 'If somebody (a

Muslim) discards his religion, kill him.' "

Narrated Al-Bara (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I saw Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) on the day (of the

battle) of the Trench carrying earth till the hair of his chest were

covered with dust and he was a hairy man. He was reciting the following

verses of 'Abdullah (bin Rawaha): "O Allah, were it not for You, We would

not have been guided, Nor would we have given in charity, nor prayed. So,

bestow on us calmness, and when we meet the enemy. Then make our feet firm,

for indeed, Yet if they want to put us in affliction, (i.e. want to fight

against us) we would not (flee but withstand them)." The Prophet

(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to raise his voice while reciting these

verses. (See Hadith No. 432, Vol. 5).

That his father said, "The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) sent

aversion; and love each other, and don't differ."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

There was a man who looked after the family and the belongings of the

Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and he was called Karkara. The man

died and Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "He is in the

'(Hell) Fire." The people then went to look at him and found in his place,

a cloak he had stolen from the war booty.

Narrated 'Ali (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Fatima complained of what she suffered from the hand mill and from

grinding, when she got the news that some slave girls of the booty had been

brought to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam). She went to him

to ask for a maid-servant, but she could not find him, and told 'Aisha of

her need. When the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) came, Aisha

informed him of that. The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) came to

our house when we had gone to our beds. (On seeing the Prophet) we were

going to get up, but he said, 'Keep at your places,' I felt the coolness of

the Prophet's feet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) on my chest. Then he

said, "Shall I tell you a thing which is better than what you asked me for?

When you go to your beds, say: 'Allahu Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater)' for

34 times, and 'Alhamdu Lillah (i.e. all the praises are for Allah)' for 33

times, and Subhan Allah (i.e. Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. This is

better for you than what you have requested."

Narrated Muawiya (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If Allah wants to do

good for somebody, he makes him comprehend the Religion (i.e. Islam), and

Allah is the Giver and I am Al-Qasim (i.e. the distributor), and this

(Muslim) nation will remain victorious over their opponents, till Allah's

Order comes and they will still be victorious "

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said,

"Neither do I give you (anything) nor withhold (anything) from you, but I

am just a distributor (i.e. Qasim), and I give as I am ordered."

I heard Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) saying, "Some people

spend Allah's Wealth (i.e. Muslim's wealth) in an unjust manner; such

people will be put in the (Hell) Fire on the Day of Resurrection."

Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

While Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was distributing the

booty at Al-Ja'rana, somebody said to him "Be just (in your distribution)."

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) replied, "Verily I would be

miserable if I did not act justly."

Salaam

Narrated 'Amr bin Taghlib (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) gave (gifts) to some people

to the exclusion of some others. The latter seemed to be displeased by

that.

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "I give to some

people, lest they should deviate from True Faith or lose patience, while I

refer other people to the goodness and contentment which Allah has put in

their hearts, and 'Amr bin Taghlib is amongst them." 'Amr bin Taghlib said,

"The statement of Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) is dearer

to me than red camels."

Narrated Al-Hasan: 'Amr bin Taghlib told us that Allah's Apostle

(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) got some property or some war prisoners and

he distributed them in the above way (i.e. giving to some people to the

exclusion of others).

Loot to the Cause of Allah - 6th Rajab 1431 (18th June 2010)

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Umar bin Al-Khattab expelled all the Jews and Christians from the land of

Hijaz.

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) after conquering

Khaibar, thought of expelling the Jews from the land which, after he

conquered it belonged to Allah, Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa

Sallam) and the Muslims.

But the Jews requested Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu

'Alaihi Wa Sallam) to leave them there on the condition that they would do

the labor and get half of the fruits (the land would yield).

Allah's

Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "We shall keep you on these

terms as long as we wish." Thus they stayed till the time of 'Umar's

Caliphate when he expelled them to Taima and Ariha.

Loot to the Cause of Allah - 8th Rajab 1431 (20th June 2010)

Narrated Ibrahim At-Tamimi's father (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

'Ali delivered a sermon saying, "We have no book to read except the Book of

Allah and what is written in this paper which contains verdicts regarding

(retaliation for) wounds, the ages of the camels (given as Zakat or as

blood money) and the fact that Medina is a sanctuary in between Air

mountain to so-and-so (mountain). So, whoever innovates in it an heresy or

commits a sin or gives shelter in it, to such an innovator will incur the

Curse of Allah, the angels and all the people, and none of his compulsory

or optional good deeds of worship will be accepted. And whoever (freed

slave) takes as his master (i.e. befriends) other than his real masters

will incur the same (Curse). And the asylum granted by any Muslim is to be

secured by all the other Muslims, and whoever betrays a Muslim in this

respect will incur the same (Curse)."

During the period of the peace treaty of Quraish with Allah's Apostle

to visit me, and she was a pagan. I consulted Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu

Beginning of Creation -

Narrated Abu Dhar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) asked me at sunset, "Do you know

where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His

Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates

Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it

is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate

itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission

to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to

return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the

interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun runs its fixed

course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in

Might, The All-Knowing." (36.38)
