Life in occupied Palestine continues....

Israeli soldiers invaded, Sunday, two Palestinian schools in the al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem, in the occupied West Bank, and fired gas bombs.

Local nonviolent activist, Ahmad Salah, stated that several army vehicles invaded the town before the soldiers surrounded two schools; one for girls and one for boys, and fired gas at them and surrounding areas.

Salah added that the soldiers also invaded the two schools, in the Old City of al-Khader, causing anxiety attacks among the children.

One of the schools had to shut down, and its administration sent the children to their homes in fear of further Israeli violations.

On Sunday at dawn, Illegal Israeli colonizers caused considerable damage to several Palestinian cars in the Jaber neighborhood, near the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

On Saturday at night, the soldiers shot a young Palestinian man in Husan village, west of Bethlehem.

Furthermore, the army fired several missiles into areas in Gaza City and Beit Hanoun, in the besieged Gaza Strip, causing damage.

On Saturday evening, the Israeli army injured eleven Palestinians, including three who suffered moderate wounds, during protests near the perimeter fence, east of Gaza city, in the besieged coastal region. Dozens of residents, including journalists, suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

On Saturday at dawn, Palestinian Medical sources in Gaza have confirmed that a child, identified as Omar Hasan Abu an-Neel, 12, died from serious wounds he suffered a week earlier after Israeli soldiers shot and seriously wounded him, in the eastern part of the coastal region.

Israa Jabis

In October, 2015, Israa Jaabis had a car accident and her car caught fire while she was inside. She was close to an Israeli military checkpoint near occupied #Jerusalem, but the Israeli forces refused to provide help. They, instead, were deployed around the scene and arrested her. Israa was sentenced to 11 years in the Israeli prisons.

In spite of her critical health condition, she gets nothing more than painkillers.

Jaabis needs to be free and get the medical care she deserves.

UAE welcomes Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid

As we stand united against the colonisation of #Palestine, the #UAE welcomes Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, with open arms, normalising the war crimes currently committed against the Palestinians of #Silwan.

He is the first Israeli Minister to officially visit the UAE.

Lapid is scheduled to open Israel’s first embassy in Abu Dhabi, as well as consulate within #Dubai.

The foreign minister is then expected to sign a number of trade agreements, designed to increase the level of economic cooperation, in spite of the fact that #Israel recently indiscriminately killed a minimum of 256 adults Inc at least 66 children in #Gaza. This also comes after recent
attacks by Israeli forces on Al-Aqsa mosque.

🔴 #FOA stands strongly against the normalisation with Israel as well as the colonisation of Palestine!

The Israeli soldier says, "I want all children out of the house".

Few days ago, The Israeli occupation forces raided the homes of Dana family, near the illegal Israeli settlement of Kiryat Arba in Hebron, terrorized the children and gathered them out side the home. This this just an example of how the life of Palestinians under the the Israeli occupation looks like.

The Palestine Narrative changing through the El-Kurd twins

Palestinian rights activists Muna and Mohammed El-Kurd, whose family faces forced displacement from their home in the occupied East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah, have been named to TIME magazine’s annual list of the 100 most-influential people in the world.

The twins, aged 23, earlier this year became the faces of a global campaign to halt Israeli efforts to forcibly displace Palestinians from Sheikh Jarrah to make way for Jewish settlers.

sraeli forces detained and questioned the siblings for several hours over their activism in June.

“Through online posts and media appearances, sibling activists Mohammed and Muna El-Kurd provided the world with a window into living under occupation in East Jerusalem this spring – helping to prompt an international shift in rhetoric in regard to Israel and Palestine,” the magazine wrote about the siblings.

In a statement on Twitter on Wednesday, Mohammad El-Kurd said that although being named to the list was a “positive” development, symbolism is not enough to truly support the Palestinian cause.

Harrowing Child Arrest

An 11 year old child being surrounded and attacked by 3-4 fully armed Isra-helli soldiers and dragged away! The child must have been so scared he wet himself. This must have been so traumatising as the pictures were all over social media however it had to be shown to the world.

If it had been anywhere in the world it would have been on the news but toal, absolute silence from mainstream media!

Quick translation provided by @dawntjeshannon:

The boy is saying he's 10 years old and that he was arrested by 7 police officers for throwing stones. They beat him while arresting him, and one punch to the stomach made him lose control of his bladder. They held him for 3 hours in interrogation, his mother didn't know where he was or what had happened for hours...

UK Labour Party votes for motion calling Israel an apartheid state

The UK Labour Party Conference has today voted in favour of a motion to identify Israel as a state practicing the crime of apartheid, making it the first major political party in Europe to adopt such a position. The motion commits the Labour party to implementing sanctions including ceasing UK-Israel arms trade and trade with illegal Israeli settlements.

"Conference condemns the ongoing Nakba in Palestine, Israel's militarised violence attacking the Al Aqsa mosque, the forced displacements from Sheikh Jarrah and the deadly assault on Gaza," said the motion

The motion noted reports by Human Rights Watch and B'Tselem, which earlier in the year reached a landmark conclusion that Israel was practising the crime of apartheid as defined by the UN. The two reports highlighted how Israel's systematic oppression of the Palestinian people amounted to the crime of apartheid.

Their conclusions echoed the findings of the UN and prominent experts on international law as well as two former Israeli ambassadors.

Labour members also welcomed the International Criminal Court's decision to hold an inquiry into abuses committed in the occupied Palestinian Territory since 2014.

Calling for a boycott of Israel the motion said: "Conference resolves that action is needed now due to Israel's continuing illegal actions and that Labour should adhere to an ethical policy on all UK trade with Israel, including stopping any arms trade used to violate Palestinian human rights and trade with illegal Israeli settlements."

"Conference resolves to support 'effective measures' including sanctions, as called for by Palestinian civil society, against actions by the Israeli government that are illegal according to international law," the motion continued noting, in particular, the need to "ensure that Israel stops the building of settlements, reverses any annexation, ends the occupation of the West Bank, the blockade of Gaza, brings down the Wall and respects the right of the Palestinian people, as enshrined in international law, to return to their homes."

It urged the Labour Party to "stand on the right side of history and abide by these resolutions in its policy, communications and political strategy".

Despite the adoption of the motion it is unclear how the leadership of the Labour party will react to such an unprecedented call. Party leader Keir Starmer has been locked in a bitter row with members who support the application of international law when it comes to the rights of the Palestinian people.

Hunger strikes by illegally detained Palestines

While you are living your life, having breakfast in the morning, and taking a walk whenever you want to, maybe going to the beach if you feel like it, Miqdad and other prisoners in Israeli prisons are QUITE LITERALLY dying for their basic human rights. Their rights to be free and to be treated with dignity. Administrative detention is not legal. The occupation is not legal. None of what's happening to us is legal.

Kayed Fasfous, Miqdad Qawasmeh, Alaa Al Araj, Hisham Abu Hawash, Shadi Abu Aker and Ayyad Hraimi are on hunger strike in protest of their administrative detention without charge or trial in the occupation jails.

The Palestinian prisoner Miqdad Qawasmeh continues his open hunger strike for the 93 days in protest of his administrative detention without charge or trial.

He looks like 150 years old " Meqdad's mother said.
