Muslims grieve for beloved sister Aminah Assilmi, a former Baptist reverts to islam and presently a leader in the American Muslim landscape.

For those of you who don’t know our sister, Aminah Assilmi, who passed away this morning in a fatal car accident. She was 65 and had been ill a few years ago but had been doing much better recently. Sister Aminah was recently chosen as one of the top 500 most influential current Muslims in the world. She was credited with getting the printing of the Eid Stamp in the United States. And she had also been a champion of da’wah efforts, bringing many people into Islam by the grace of Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala.
